  1. When setting up your eBay account, use a bank debit card that has a Visa or MasterCard logo on it.  Even though it is a debit card, it can be run as a credit card.  eBay doesn't know one way or the other.

Since you are a new seller, eBay will require you to take PayPal.  Be prepared that you won't be able to access that money until 1 or 2 things happens.  Buyer leaves possitive feedback or 21 days after delivery confirmation shows it was received.  So do not plan on used that money to ship your items out.

    Good luck on your selling.

  2. There are two different issues here:

    1)  setting up your seller account and

    2)  paying your fees.

    1)  When you first set up your seller account, you need to provide both your bank details and your card details.  This is a kind of security measure and 'verifies' that you are who you say you are.

The card you use has to be either a Visa or Mastercard.  Nothing will be charged to the card unless you chose to do so at a later time - at this point, it is just used to verify you.

    2)  While going through the process of setting up your seller account, you have to agree to set up a direct debit to pay your fees.  You can later choose to pay your fees by another method if you want.

But you do have to have an 'acceptable' card to set up your seller account in the first place - unfortunately, there's no way round that.

  3. You can deal with cheques/postal orders, etc. Although you'll really have to get your rating high so people know they can trust you. You can always do it just be a simple debit card? You don't need a proper credit card. Why don't you just get a debit card? :)

  5. sadly no...every one is being pushed into using paypal....all sales [exsept cars/bikes/property] must accsept paypal

  6. Open a basic bank account that comes with a debit card (Natwest Step Account is good) cos that's what i use for selling on ebay.

  7. If you are in the United States you will want to look into this:

    http://pages.ebay.com/HELP/CONFIDENCE/ID...

You will see on this page it says "become a seller" is an option with ID verify. You can pay with direct pay and your checking account, see here:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/oneti...

  8. yeah you can tell the ebayers you only accept cheques, postal orders.

  9. Register with paypal using a debit card. Link with your bank account. Safe and easy.If you buy something on ebay, pay via paypal.I buy and sell on ebay with a debit card.No problems. Have to wait 5-7 days for your cash but it's fine.

  10. You don't need a credit card, you can use paypal, which links directly to your bank account using a debit card, or you can tell your buyers that you only accept cash, cheque or postal order.

  11. Use a debit card from your bank checking account. PayPal will let you set up an account with the debit card.

  12. You dont need it. Just upload funds into your account - from your bank to your paypal online account and youre done.

  13. You can pay your ebay selling fees with Paypal, and Paypal don't require you to have a credit card, only a back up funding source, which can be your regular bank account.
