I want to start volunteering somewhere.... help?

i really want to start volunteering in my community and i dont know of anywhere i can..... please help by listing some options and telling how i can start there

Hi! well i know of a great place that you can volunteer at that is easy, comes with rewars, really helps youth at risk and teens (just like you if your a teenager) and can be mostly done online. There is a online part of the program and physically helping. I think this is a great oppertunity for anyone who want to help. What are you interested in? Thats the best way to start. If you enjoy reading, help out at a library. If you like sports, coach a team of little kids. If you are good with computers, teach senior citizens how to use them.

You will enjoy it more, and be more productive if you have a good time.

There are oodles of places you can volunteer at in your community.

Such as:

Your local library -- You'd probably be doing simple things like shelving books or  cleaning. Helping other find books & maybe even checking some people's books out.

Your local hospital -- Visiting patients, && delivering, food, flowers, && mail to the sick && elderly are basically what you might be doing. Perhaps filing or dusting.

Your local pet shelter -- Most likely cleaning cages out, bathing animals && such.

If you know any elderly or sick that live near you or close to you, you could volunteer to clean their house or help them with yard work.

Babysitting -- Most people consider babysitting as a job but you can always do it volunteeringly!

Now with any of these places, you could just walk into the place && begin by asking if they allowed teens by the age of [-insert your age here-] to volunteer at their business or whatever. If so, you can ask for an application then send it is. Easy as pie! =D

Why dont you try:

Try working at animal shelters,

volunteering at a retirement home,

becoming a big brother/sister to an underpriveleged child

going to a public place and looking at a jobs needed

or doing favors around your neighborhood
