  1. 1. Daycare pay sucks.  You'll probably make a couple of dollars an hour over minimum wage.

2  Unless you have special training/degrees, you would just care for the children -- play with them, feed them, supervise their play,  change diapers, read stories -- depends on the age of the kids and the way the center is staffed.

    3.  See #2.

    4. Small daycares might have everyone together.  Larger ones would break them down by age, but again, it would depend on the center.

    5. Daycares are usually open from around 7 or 7:30 to 6 (to allow parents to get the kids there before work and pick up after work.)   Preschools often have shorter hours.  You might work the whole time, or they might have two overlapping shifts, where some staff arrive early and leave early, and other staff arrive later and stay unitl 6.

They would probably ask you about your experience with kids, why you want to work there, for references from previous employers. THey will ask if you have Infant/child CPR cerfiication (you need that, so if you don't have it, you'll have to get it) and probably first aid certification as well.

  2. ok one- minimum wage until u get all the test completed and passed and or the class that is taken

    two- teacher, cleaning,or office

    three-outside time,reading,play time inside,nap time, music and movement,and more(goes by age)

four-they have ages birth to 12

five- any experience, experience with kids, took any test, cpr card background  check, first aid card, how u would discipline, what happens if one is injured, what do u do while on play ground, things to that extent,

six-hours depend on how late the daycare is open for

  3. The pay is not usually good. Around minimum wage. Your role would depend on the daycare and what you are hired for. The activities also depend on the daycare and time of year. Ages are usually 6 weeks through school age, about 12. I used to work in a daycare I LOVED it. I worked from 6am to 6pm but I went home for 2 hours in the middle of the day(nap time). Expect them to ask whether you have babysat or been around kids before. And why you would like to work with children.

    Good luck.
