"I hope I will stay for at least two years and that this team will stick together for that long. I really like being at Sporting and that is seen on the field. I have no reason to leave - I look around and I have all I want,” he said.
The striker also added that the Lisbon side were a top team and along with their passionate supporters was all he wanted.
"Sporting are a really big club and their fans are fantastic. What more could I want?,” Ricky van Wolfswinkel was quoted as saying.
While the likes of Manchester United will be warded off for the time being with his decision to stay with Sporting, Ricky van Wolfswinkel’s talents deserve greener pastures and more clubs are likely to gain an interest in him in the future.
