The Portuguese winger has reiterated his desire to stay put at Old Trafford despite contract negotiations stopping with the Reds.
Signed from Sporting Lisbon as a relative unknown in 2007, Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299 has gone to establish himself as one of the best players in the English Premier League.
With his brilliant ability on the ball and a shot that could rival anyone in Europe, he has become a regular at International level and a firm favourite in Manchester.
While at one point his United career seemed to be in jeopardy, he managed to revive himself completely and now often takes to the pitch as a starter on the right flank. However with the inclusion of Ashley Young and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Valencia-c6345, his game time was restricted
last time out and he was sidelined on the bench.
Nonetheless, he impressed onlookers at this summer’s European Championships and despite offers from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 decided to sit down and negotiate a new deal with the English giants.
The Seleccao star has demanded that he be given a large pay rise to compensate for his superior displays but so far United have not agreed to the proposed terms and talks are still to be conducted.
Despite the ominous situation, Nani has come out and revealed his love for the Red Devils and claims that he wants to continue playing under the tutelage of Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson.
“We will see (what the future holds). I am very happy at United and have been there five years and won every title. The manager has great faith in me and that’s what is important. My agent is negotiating and we’ll see what happens."
He also cast his opinion on last season’s title race, revealing that he was terribly disappointed with how the proceedings concluded with Manchester City winning the title.
“That’s football – you are always going to suffer disappointments and you just have to deal with them,” Nani added. Football is like life and so there will be times when you suffer a big disappointment. It hurt to miss the league title in the last minute,
City had incredible luck that day. Hopefully next season is our turn and it’s up to us to make that happen.”
While negotiations with the club continue, Nani will turn his attention to pre-season, for which Ferguson has planned a lengthy tour to Africa and Asia.
