Are there any websites where I can get a kick start and learn a little about Law in the Uk and around the world, just so I can have the back knowledge for when I enter a University. And is Law good, can someone who studied or is studying law at the moment tell me

  1. Law is a great subject to study. I'm in my final year, and currently waiting interviews from large corporate law firms for after i have finished.

It is a hard subject though, there is plenty of reading to be done and competition is tough, but as long as you have good academic score and you get plenty of work experience - then you should be fine. Its also important to get yourself some positions of responsibility - i'm a leader for one group and a secretary for my Law Students Association, i also do work experience by being an adviser for the citizens advice bureau.

this is a link to the Law Society of England: http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/home.law

They have some useful information on becoming a solicitor here from the Junior Lawyers Division of the Law Society:

  2. It depends where you are coming from - are you doing A levels at the moment are are you in work - the competition for entering a good university to study law is very high - less so for the better well known unis. Career prospects are very good - but if you want to become a barrister the process is very long, and only a few will make it that far. Studying a law degree is not in itself very difficult - it is simply harder to get on the course. Good luck to you.

  3. I qualification in Law is very good. There is a very good and wide range of jobs to which select a law qualification, i would recommend it.

  4. I studied Law at university and although the degree itself is very good I wish that I had done something else at uni and had then converted to Law by doing the GDL. Is there nowhere you can take a Law AS level to establish whether you enjoy the subject?

I'm not sure about the website. It might be worth looking for something relating to the AS or A level course. I had no knowledge of the Law before going to uni so it isn't essential.
