I am an Indian and was born in India. I left for overseas when I was 4 and my family has settled down here. I am no more an Indian national and have become a citizen of the country I have settled in. I am doing my A levels this year and thinking about studying medicine. I visit India every year to see my relatives and I love the country. I feel like returning back to India to study medicine. Is it possible? Will I be charged with extra fees or stricter qualification criteria because I am not an Indian national anymore?

  1. hey dude.....

    why should you do that???

Any way it would be pretty cheap here when you compare!! But to me it all depends where you need to work. Since you dont have Indian citizen ship, some colleges have International quotas

to enrol International students. And the problem again comes when you finished your course .... If you need to practice in your country, you have to clear a test conducted by medical Association. The thing is that I have few frnd who has done their cinical corse from Urkrain(which is rather cheap) find difficult to pass the test conducted by IMA(Indian medical Association) and if they try to practice with out passing that...

    :( it's a crime!!!!

  2. All Indian medical colleges have reserved seats for NRIs and International students

You need to contact the institute you wish to join to see whether they got some seats left out.
