Save now and if you have already booked your cruise you want to book that excursion now.  That is the most popular excurision and most expensive on all cruise lines.  It is the one that sells out at least 2 weeks to a month before the cruise even starts.  

I just came back from a 2 week cruise and our first day there we looked at excursions to see if we wanted to add one, and swim with the dolphins was sold out on every island that had that excursion.

I don't know how old you are but you need to find some kind of a job, like babysitting, mother's helper, extra chores around the house that you can get paid for. Saving your allowance.

I'm not sure if you have to save up for the dolphins or the cruise but when it comes to the US Virgin Islands, it's actually pretty rare for dolphins to come so close to shore that beach bathers can swim with them.

However, if you are trying to save your earning potential depends on how old you are.  Under 18, you might need to do some odd jobs for neighbors or get an allowance from your parents.  Over 18, I'm sure there's a multitude of jobs you can choose from.
