I want to take ACTs and SAT II?

am i able to take the ACTs and take SAT II (Literature and US History) to get into a UC?

i know the ACTs are in spring of your junior year but when are the SAT IIs?

whens a good time to start studying for both?

  1. The SATII's generally have to be taken before november of your senior year in high school. I took them in fall of my senior year. Obviously, the earlier you start studying the better, but I didn't really study for my ACT's (i'm pretty good at test taking) and got a 33...it all depends on the person. From what I've seen if you start taking practice tests  for the ACT around january or february of your junior year you should be fine.

    I personally found the SATII's a lot harder, but again I didn't study which was pretty stupid of me. Start studying about two months before the test. like I said earlier SATII's have to be taken by november (sometimes october) of your senior year, but they should ideally be taken at the end of your junior year, right after you finish the related classes(that way you remember stuff better)

    also just as a PS from personal experience, I found the lit test really easy but the US history test very difficult...if I were you I would spend a lot more time studying for that one, the Lit test has a lot of common sense stuff where you actually have to KNOW things for the history one.
