Is that possible? if so, is it going to be crazy expensive or relatively cheap. what kind of labour am i looking to do? and is it possible that they are manufactured that way for export into japan or something? if they are, would it be cheaper for me to get one there and shipped over? i dont have one yet. but if i do, it will be either about an '89 or something like a '99. does anyone have any tips, hints, pointers, links, or things like that?

  1. A conversion would be a massive undertaking.  I won't say impossible, but unless you are planning to spend tens of thousands of dollars, it may as well be.  Even then it would be very complex.  You would be much better off finding a vehicle manufactured for overseas use that is RHD and paying to have it imported.

  2. I know it can be done, I've seen one that was being used as a postal route carrier.

As to what it costs, different question.  You'd be best served to try to find the interior parts that go into an overseas market model, if you want it to look factory.

You'd probably have to start with finding out whether the S10 was ever shipped to RHD countries.  If it was, then most of the modifications are probably halfway done already before it ever left the factory.  Then it'd be just a matter of disassembling and reassembling the way you want it.

  3. Yeah its real cheap but what I did is have a chevy s10 that was made in japan shipped to me. It was totalled in an accident but I converted it over.
