  1. Get the cat! It may take a little while to get him litter box trained, and actually cats should stay indoors and would not need walks! Outdoor cats are more likely to get hurt. Get the cat, you have a perfect set up! If you are out of the house a lot at work and stuff you can get another cat to keep him company while your at work!

  2. Superstitions are silly.  Don't believe that!!!  Cats are wonderful pets and can be so funny/loving/cuddly.  Especially if your wife would like it, get one.

You'll have to look up information about taking care of cats, so do some research/reading before you decide to get one.

They need love and care, good food, clean litter box, some treats, toys, VET CARE, and a safe nurturing environment.

You can look on www.craigslist.org in your area for a Cat or Kitten or go to one of your local shelters.  There are so many cats and kittens that need love.

It will cost you about $100 to get a cat or kitten with its shots and neutering.  Or, you can find them for about $10-$50 on craigslist but you'll have to take care of the VET CARE yourself.

Or, if you take in the cat you saw, make sure it doesn't belong to someone else.  If you keep it, get it cat food, water dish, litter box, and all of the stuff that goes with taking care of a cat.

CHECK OUT THIS SITE and read what it has to say:

Cats are fine indoors.  Don't let your cat get outside or you will end up with an outdoor cat.  Keep it indoors and your cat will stay healthy.

And when you first get the cat or kitten, be patient with it and let it get to know your home and your smell.

    Be very gentle with it.

    Pet it a lot!

    I wish you luck!

  3. Get the cat I have 8 cats one kitten and one cat that is going to have 8 kittens and I have a small house in the country and they are fine.

  4. i agree, from experience (i've had cats that have been strictly indoor cats and some cats that would go outdoors too) and the indoor cats all have lived much longer healthier lives.  as far as the potty training, it is not near as difficult as puppy training. of the kittens i've had they all grasped the concept of the litter box pretty fast and next to no messes. i may have just been lucky with that but my friends seem to agree with that.

as far as the 3rd floor thing goes i think the cat will be happy as long as you let it roam throughout your place. just make sure not to have breakables, or stuff it shouldn't get into sitting on counter or out because once again from experience, i've had cats knock things over, break things by doing that, and i've caught them l*****g food we had just made and set out to cool. so just be conscious of that.

and ur wife is very lucky, it's very cool you care for her so much to get a cat for her.

  5. While kittens are wonderful, I know that adult cats need homes and are not adopted as frequently so I think a cat is a good choice too. Some people say that it is good to get them when they are littler so they will be more accustomed to humans but I adopted an adult cat a few years ago and he is the most affectionate cat ever! And he never peed in the house, always in his litter box. Get both if you can, there are so many animals that need good homes.

  6. Definitely get the cat if you want it. Another thing you should invest in if you decide to take it home is one of those beds that attach to the window so it can lounge when you are gone.

When I trained my cat to use the litter box i used the catnip that's in the spray bottle. I sprayed all around it and they took to it. I had one that went on the carpet but when I saw her i waited till she finished then took her to the litter box.

Hope you decide to get it!

  7. You should get cat.  My grandmom had 7 cats and she is the luckiest person I know.  orange cats are so cute!! i have 1 orange cat.

    where is the cat from?

  8. Get your cat & don't worry about space.

    Cats love to hide anyway.

Give it keeble food, canned cat food, occasionally as a treat, always water & katnip toy.  Add that all in with lots of love & you got yourself a pet as affectionate as a dog.

  9. keeping cat's indoor is better. And kittens are just as good pets as cats but they need a lot of attention or another cat/kitten to play with. I you aren't home much don't get the kitten or get two.

  10. get the cat.
