Should I get private lessons or as a class?

What are your requirements? (weight, height, etc)

What are some moves I can do to become strong, flexible and balanced?

  1. you should get some classes (doesn't matter private or class) and don't change your whole life for a ballet school cause it is hard to get in depending on the level of ballet school it is trust me I had to work so hard to get in

    just stretch a lot and the splits are a good Idea and lots of other stretches and stuff


  2. If you want to join a proper ballet school it is probably too late to join if you have never had any dance experience before you may just want to join a class either private or just a class is good the only difference will be the rate at which you learn.

    you will have to check the ballet school requirements on their website... they are usually quite strick

    any dance will improve your strength and balance etc ... good luck

  3. right it depends if you wanted to go to a ballet bording school or whatever its to late

    but if you mean lessons no , i am 13 and in march i started ballet lessons once a week i did a class not priviate lessons and started in grade 2 istd and in september i will be doing two clases a week one grade 2 and one grade 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    before i started i was just streaching every day like split streaches and things i also tried to learn position and basic things this website helped alot..

    its really good just get signed up as soon asp possible though many schools will be breaking up for summer holidays now so you wont be able to start till september!!!!

  4. Its never too late. Welll it is for boarding schools, but dance academys are just as good. If you want to take ballet I suggest you take classes, and private ones if you want to. You of course will have to join and start in elementary dance, be behind peopl your age, but dont worry about that.  I dont know if there is trully a weight or height requirement.

    Stretch, deffinately stretch. Do some simple stretches like done at schools. The butterfly stuff like that. work on your splits. you can look up excersises on youtube by just for kix.
