I want to take my ball python with me places how long can i have him with me out of his tank??

i live on a farm so everythings like an hour away i wanted to know if i can take my ball python with me to see my friends and stuff

Just don't let him get too hot or too cold.  If he's used to being handled, he can tolerate the trip.  Remember, any change in environment is stressful to reptiles, so I wouldn't do this to my snake too often.

I once had my ball python out for over a week. Well... that's cause he escaped. But don't worry, I found him under a box.

But if you keep him out for that long while holding him, he'll get curious, and try desparately to escape and explore. The car is not a place you want to loose a snake. I would suggest taking the cage with you, or putting him in something smaller to carry him in. Someone I knew brought his red tail boa on the last day of school at the very end, and I know he didn't drive carrying him.

I would think that if your ball is use to being handled then it would be ok to take it places with you. As long as you don't allow it to get to cold. Mine every once in a while will go with me somewhere. Se however loves to be in my shirt or around my neck and in my hair. She likes to be warm all the time is why I think she does this.

it's not a good idea to take your snake places with you.  people are afraid of snakes and will freak out if they see one.  people taking their snakes out about town with them do more harm to the herping community than good.  the public gets scared and then all of a sudden we have lawmakers passing laws banning reptiles.

i wouldn't do that because it will get stressed and maybe the tempeture will be different at another location

Yes, just be careful of extremes in temperature. I used to take mine out in a pillow case, plenty of air and easy to handle.
