I want to take my kids skiing for christmas. is there any place that 9 times out of 10has snow that week?

  2. Utah, hands down. They have Park city, The Canyons, and Deer Valley, which are amazing. There are way more than that, but I can't remember them all.

  3. Colorado - Beaver Creek, Vail or Breckenridge are all AWESOME!  I'm prone to the fresh powder so any of these places are DEF my first recommendation.

  4. Park City, Utah...its has the BEST skiing in the world. and it is right outside of Salt Lake City Airport (about a 30 minute drive)

    Park City has 3 world class ski resorts, and there are a bunch of amazing hotels/resturants to check out! My favorite hotel/best suggestion for your family to stay at is the best western landmark inn. They have a shuttle that goes to each of the ski resorts, free breakfast, indoor pool/hot tub, and GREAT prices! here's their link....http://www.bwlandmarkinn.com/

  5. Go to aspen/snowmass, colorado. There are four seperate mountains in one area and all of them are UNBELIVEABLE. i love skiing there it is my favrorite spot. Snowmass is my favorite of the 4 mtns

Wyoming and Utah immediately come to mind.  Salt Lake will probably be the easiest to fly into, Wyoming doesn't have any big airports.  You can stay in Park City or right down town Salt Lake.  There are plenty of places to rent townhouses for a week or weekend.  There are also plenty of great hotels.  Jackson, Wyoming has some of the best skiing in the country and lots of great places to stay.  Have fun.

  7. remember even if the big west mountains have 2' of snow by christmas it wont cover the 4' boulders! skiing at christmas can be fun but unless its an unusual seasons start most mountains wont be fully open.

  8. pretty much every decent ski area will have snow by this time, its going to be really crowded around christmas thought

  9. you should consider resorts in states such as Utah, Colorado, Vermont.. and for excellent skiing try Jay Peak in Canada, but these are mainly for advanced skiers
