during our trip next month as a thank you for her taking me on the trip. Anyone who has visited Paris or lives there have any recommendations? If you could include a general idea of the prices as well, it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. If you can pay for it the most amazing dinner would be at the restaurant at the top of the Montpartnasse tower. This is the only tower in Paris and you have an eagle view of the whole city, lit Eiffel tower included. However the restaurant (le ciel de Paris) is verrrry expensive. http://www.cieldeparis.com/index.php?hom...

You can also go to the top of the tower without the restaurant stop as  surprise before dinner in a bateau-mouche (cruising boat).

You can also take her to one of the famous Brasseries. Some are a bit pricey but still reasonable. I recommend le boeuf sur the toit (the ox on the roof) http://www.boeufsurletoit.com/en/

next to the Champs Elysees. Menu is around 30 Euros, without the wine. You can go higher of course a la carte.

There's also le Train Bleu (the blue train), in one of the main train station of Paris if you want to have a fun experience in a beautiful setting. Between 30 and 60 Euros

The advantage with those is that they speak English and have English menus. And they are quintessentially French.

    Have fun.

  2. These are places I take my mother when she visits me here in Paris from California. They are the best really, offering a wonderful parisian dining experience. You both will love it.

  3. I am a sensible person but would really like to go to one of those fancy places that Rillifane mentioned in his previous answer --- JUST ONCE!!  LOL

  4. I'm assuming you're a sensible person and  don't want to have to take out a bank loan to pay for dinner which eliminates the famous Michelin three star restaurants.

For something within the finances of a normal person you might consider Le Coupe Chou which is a charming Left Bank place. Check out their website: http://www.lecoupechou.com/index.php?PHP...

Le Bon Aloi, not far from the Louvre, is another good place. http://www.lebonaloi.com/index_english.h...

  5. Take her on a dinner cruise on the river Seine.  I paid I believe 125 euros per person, the food was good, drinks included and the views were amazing.

This might be a bit pricey, the nice thing is you will be in Paris and even the little cafes are wonderful.
