I'm American. By the time this question will be relevant, I will have 2 years ESL teaching experience in Korea (I have one now.). But I do not have an education degree or any kind of ESL teaching certificate. (My major was media communications (mostly journalism stuff).

What would I have to do to teach ESL in the public school system (specifically around St. Louis, MO)?

Is it possible they'd hire me as is? Or could I go through one of those intensive 4-5 week programs and then get hired? Or would I have to get a masters in education?

Thanks!
