When i look at JET program and other websites they are claiming you need a BA to get in... Does anyone have a solution to this problem....

I don't have any money and i was hoping to land a paid "gig" that paid for housing or at least a very cheap renters fee....

FYI : my degree is in Hospitality and Tourism Management

  1. If you speak Japanese fluently, you will have no problem landing a job teaching english.  No worries mate.

  2. My understanding is that Japan is a very popular country for foreign English teachers, so the Japanese schools have the luxury of requiring a BA.  I think Korea has the same BA requirement. Have you considered going back to school and getting your BA?  It would help not only to teach in Japan, but to get a job when you go home.

  3. Maybe you should learn the language first while getting your degree. It is not fun being in a foreign country when you are not fluent in the language. Also, be careful of those programs such as JET and NOVA. Didn't NOVA go bankrupt about a year ago and didn't have a way to pay it's employees?
