I want to teach English in Spain! Does anyone know a good website?

I am looking for some sort of site or discussion board where people are looking for English teachers, preferably live-in teachers or part-time babysitters. I don't think an official program will help me, as I will only have about 5 months free and most programs require at least a year of work. I also don't have time for a TEFL certification. However, I speak Spanish well and am really hoping for a great opportunity! Thanks!

  1. Difficult if you have no piece of paper. There are thousands of people here already who speak both languages and have a qualification.

Try www.tes.co.uk and www.ihworld.com if you change your mind about studying a bit..

Your best bet would be to get in touch with an 'au pair' agency near your home.

  2. Try to look some offers in

    http://www.infojobs.com/

    http://www.infoempleo.com/

    http://www.inem.es/

    http://www.eoidiomas.com/web/index.asp

If you want to teach english in the "Escuela Oficial de Idiomas" you have to do an exam to prove you are able to teach there, if you want to tech in a school which belongs to the state you have to do a exam called CAP.

If you wanna work in a private or semiprivate school you have to do what the school told u to do.

And of course and the most important of all you have to know the language of the place where you are going to teach... in that case Spanish... if you cant talk a proper Spanish as a Spaniard do... forget ur idea.
