  1. I don't know, but I will tell you that you shouldn't lump autism and ADHD together.  Autism is a real condition, induced by a genetic abnormality, while ADHD is nothing but a result of poor parenting.

  2. Their courses out there for those who wish to work with young people with behavioural issues or disabilities. I am not sure of what country your in.

    Type of qualifications

    Certificate/Diploma in Disabilities

    Certificate/Diploma in Behavioural management

You can try to contact the local special needs school or a and ask what type of qualifications they require etc.

Actually betterthanthebestof ADHD is not solely bad parenting, ADHD & ADD are both recognized as a legitimate condition and falls into the Autism spectrum, and is listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV.

I grant that there is some parents who don't or wont discipline their children, and their children's behaviour is some times written off as being ADD/ADHD. My daughter has ADHD and ODD and is was managed by behavioural management and diet. Red, green cordial, chocolate etc would send her off the rails. She would be given a smack for being rude, or unruly in behaviour and anyone who knows my hubby and I would tell you we are NOT BAD PARENTS.

  3. If you simply want to teach, the requirements for your state need to be met. I'm pretty sure that the requirements vary from one state/district to the next.

Since you want to work with children on the autistic spectrum I would concentrate on getting a degree in special education, from there you may be able to branch into assisitive technology and the job field of an aid.

    Good Luck!

  4. no clue, but if you find it, here's a tip, talk one on one with the child, then get more kids to talk with him/her. let him delvop.
