  1. A good program is called Rosetta Stone; it is available anywhere; you can order it from the Internet.

You are also right across the channel, take a few weekends, and learn it while visiting France.

  2. Rosetta Stone is good, but I think it's a bit too picture based and lacking in some areas. We use a book they use in Public school called Bon Voyage!, it's not the best I'm sure, but it works for us. However, if you use just a textbook, you may want to get a CD, or even Rosetta Stone to supplement it. Something we're trying is learning french the same way we learned English... With a phonix system, like those little letter flashcards they use with you in Kindergarten so you learn the letter sounds and letter combination sounds. *chants* ER, the ER of HER *smirk*

  3. go look on the book store.

  4. Hugo French if he is a beginner. Has 6  CDs. Great product.
