  1. home schooling is great! it has flexibility that public school doesnt, and theres not all the bad influences public school has either, in the US in my state you have to fill and have notarized some papers from education dept.  not completely sure but Im sure each country and each states laws about home schooling is different.  If he only speaks his own language putting him in another school where they speak another would be difficult for him, if you have the patience, dedication and time for it then Id say go for it but its a lot of work so if you're not a stay at home mom I'd say either consider quiting your job, atleast full time or send him to a private school with a smaller class size. you cant work full time with a child this young and try to school em.

I wish you the best of luck!!!

  2. Why did you not expose him to the English Language? It's a very important language to learn no matter which part of the world you go to... It's better to educate him in the school system.. he'll be exposed to a lot more things than just your home... Start teaching him English now... speak to him in English and teach him alphabets and soon words... He needs all of these... send him to a proper school... What if your plans to go overseas crumble? Think about it.. he deserves a decent education..

  3. ARE U crazy dont do it where do u live it depends if u shuld but not to be mean i know some people are homeschooled and they hate it so i wouldnt do it

  4. In the UK you do not need to follow any curriculum at all. Since he's never been to school you do not need to inform your local authority let alone ask their permission.

You're right to be concerned about the language issue. Educating him at home you can teach him English as a second language but not let that hold him back from learning anything else as they would at school.

  5. Handicap the child more.   Make sure he can't communicate and is totally isolated.

  6. If you live in the UK and he hasn't already started school you don't have to do anything at all. Anyone can home educate; you don't have to be a teacher or have any particular qualifications. I'd say if he can only speak arabic the education at home will suit him better anyhow.

The local authority may eventually ask for proof that you are educating him. You have to show you are providing a full time education that is suitable to his abilities and aptitudes -that's it. You don't have to follow the National Curriculum or teach any one subject.

If you've already accepted a school place, you may have to write to them, declining it because you are educating your child at home. You don't need permission, though!

I'd highly recommend looking at the education otherwise website, and also the parentscentre forum (often down at weekends, unfortunately). There's an education category, if you look under that you will see a whole section on home ed. There's some very knowledgeable posters on there.

I've been home educating my 8 year old for about 6 months and she has learnt way, way more than school. Because your child isn't waiting for 30 others, you get stuff done very quickly. Also she's made some fantastic friends who home ed - we can hardly keep up! Education Otherwise will put you in touch with other home educators.

I'm not sure about the law abroad but once you get going in this country I am sure people will be able to help.

-try this link tomorrow -it won't work tonight, unfortunately

  7. You can homeschool a 5 year old without any permission.  The beauty of homeschooling is the total control you have over what you teach your child.  You may have to answer to the education department at 6 but thats just so you can show them that he is learning a well thought out curriculum that you have developed to train him in the way you want him to go.  I have homeschooled all 6 of our children and it has been the most rewarding experience I could possibly have had.  My oldest 3 have finshed homeschooling now, but I still have the youngest 3 training at home.  I can only encourage you to  listen to your heart and you will be fine.  Good luck for the wonderful journey you will have teaching and learning beside your beautiful child.

  8. phone ur local education department and they will help u.

    hope this helps

    good luck.x
