I want to throw a wedding party ?

i want to throw a wedding party for my sims on sims 2 but when ever i try to on the phone all it says is manage groups and not throw a party! HELP ME PLEASE!

I think the sims have to be engaged before they can have a party. If they are already engaged, then I don't know what the problem might be.
