Sounds like you want to get a bit more trim, and you're concerned that running or bicycling will add size to your thighs.

First off, our bodies resist spot-reducing.  To reduce the size of your legs, you need to get into a regular exercise program and eat nutritious foods.  It's as easy - and as hard - as that.  As you reduce your size across your whole body, you'll see that your legs reduce in size as well.

As far as running and biking is concerned - you've got to do a ton of biking to really increase the muscles in your legs.  Which is not to say your legs won't increase in size with biking, they can - but it takes a fair amount of biking, 5 hours or more a week, to make a difference.

It takes even more time in running to make a difference in leg size.  What running does I believe better than any other activity is cause you to burn body fat sooner and faster - reducing, not increasing leg size.

So . . . biking, and especially running, are great ways to go to increase your health and decrease your girth!

    Regards,

    Phil
