Question:

I want to tow my Ford Ranger behind my RV. What kind of tow bar or tow dolly should I use?

Do I need electric brakes? which method is better? I think the ranger is listed at GVW 3200 LBS. I am in WA state

  1. a tow dolly is the best bet, and you can get them with surge brakes , but with the lightweight ford ranger  you really wont need it, ( brakes ) the tow dolly where you have the front ov the vehicle up off the road is the best type, you can rent them at u-haul or any other rental shops


  2. It will depends on the make and model of the RV and the Ranger as well like regular cab, extended cab, 2 or 4 wheel drive and so on.

    But most RV's will pull a small truck and you can use the same type of dolly that you see at any U-haul dealer and you dont need electric brakes.
