    Specifically the Doji patterns will be used by many traders for Day trading


  2. It all depends upon the time frame you want to use. Candlesticks are best used in daily basis and in 5 minutes basis for Intraday.

    NOTE: It is never wise to use just one technique to do Technical Analysis. 2-3 would be ideal.  You always need confirmation.   The goal is to be right 45-70% of the time.  The shorter the time frame the lower end of that rate can be expected.  There are many technical analsis traders that are less than 50%!  The real way they make their money is great money management techniques.
