  1. Most english shows don't require the horse to be registered as anything.  The only exceptions are special breed shows.

And, no, you can't get your horse registered in any real breed registries.

  2. first you dint say registered what???? quarter? arab? and if his parents arent full blood or registerable blood than you cant register him. there are many types of shows where you dont have to have a registered horse. i have taken just as many "mutts" into a dressage, jumping, or horsemanship ring as i have full blood registered ones.

  3. yeah...there are MANY shows that can allow nonregistered horses to compete. Most shows only require a coggins and rabies to compete. If neither of his parents have papers (not necesarily registration) then it is probably not possible to register. Check out what you want first.

  4. some breeds, idk because you didnt say his breed, but some breeds can get harship registrys based on conformation.. also, alot of shows will let you show even if they arent registered.

  5. Do you have to register your horse to show him now?

  6. you dont need to be registered to be in an english show-- my horse isnt. all you need to no to register him is the stallions show name

  7. find a show where the horse does not have to be registered

  8. No.  In order to register a horse the sire and dam would have to be registered with that particular breed that he is.  It traces the family roots generation to generation.

Just because a horse isn't registered, does not mean you cannot show him in an open or all breed show.  It means that you can't show him in a breed specific show without proof of being a part of that breed.

The only chance you have of registering would be if he was a Palomino or maybe a Pinto...which are both color based registries...but not breed specific.

Were you told he was a certain breed?

Just enjoy and train him and enjoy the local or open shows.
