I want to transfer my files from pc to a mac laptop what is the best free way to do it?

I was thinking about using an ethernet cable but don't know how to set it up. Can some one walk me through it. Or is there a better way.

Go to an Apple store they will transfer all of your data from one to the other.

Try uploading the files to filedropper.com and then using the download link on your new computer.

You can use email to send you the files but that can be time consuming and slow depending on the limits of your email provider.

If you have a thumb drive, you can copy your files with that, or any other portable storage device that you might have.
