  1. If you want to study at a Swiss university, you will need to learn the language of instruction at that particular location whether it's French, German or Italian. You could also transfer to an American college in Switzerland such as Franklin College where you could finish a science/health major and later enter a medical field.

    Good luck!

  2. What kind of advice are you looking for?? You could fairly easily learn the basics of one of those two languages, and then move to the country and you will get better as you live there and are forced to speak the languages. I advise studying french, as it has a latin base which most medicine is named in latin and it will help you out more than germanic roots. Also, I french is more widely used. Try going online to rosettastone.com or even taking a class in your university now that can help prepare you...I was in Spain for a year and once we had the basics, we learned very uickly how to become fluent because we were immersed into the culture and language. If you want to test the waters more, maybe try going to Quebec for a while, that you know they speak english as well. Although I bet you could find some english in Switzerland. Once you get the basics down, just make sure you practice it, don´t be afraid to make mistakes, everyone does. Bonne Chance!
