I'm running an Acer Aspire 3000 with a data projector in a public hall whose sound system is way down the back of the hall. So wanted a wireless solution to make it easy to setup and no cables to trip over.

  1. Well you need to transmit first to an amplifier and then from the amplifier to your sound system.

The reason for the amp in between is to boost the output signal from your notebook which comes out at 1 to 4 watts.

Your speaker sound system is no doubt above 30 to 1000 watts.  So you need an amp in between.   Radio shack sells decent ones.

  2. If you google "wireless audio sender" you will come up with a long list of devices to sender audio from your PC to your sound system. Here is an example

  3. Hot rod doesn't know what he's talking about. I would get one of these from logitech. They don't seem to make them anymore, but it is a good product.
