  1. unfountelly amtrak no longer opeators the sunset limited

from Texas to florida, (you would have to change either in

Chicago and /or DC or change in New Orleans, then DC then to florida

  2. Since Katrina, Amtrak haven't been running from Florida to Louisiana. The Sunset Limited currently runs from Los Angeles to New Orleans only.

If you want to do the whole trip by train, the only way is to catch a Silver Service train up to Washington, DC, the Capitol Limited or Cardinal to Chicago, and then the Texas Eagle to wherever you're going.

Or you could catch the Crescent from Washington, DC to New Orleans and then the Sunset from there.

  3. Amtrak has this route. Do not know the stops in Texas but it goes from Miami to  La/San Diego

  4. It would be far quicker and cheaper to rent a car.

Just head east on Interstate 10 then, depending on where in Florida you want to go, south on I75 or I95.

  5. amtrak
