Is there a train that goes from Chicago to Trenton?

  1. Questions above seem to cover it all.  Note that the Cardinal (mentioned by Wolf Harper) only runs 3 times a week, but as he said the route is scenic.

    I did the search and came up with one schedule with no transfer,  3 with a transfer at Washington DC.

    to Trenton heres their amtrak schedule

  5. goto Union station on Madison and Canal sts.

  6. Fastest is the Lake Shore Limited to New York Penn station, then any corridor train (or even NJtransit) to Trenton.

    Slightly longer is take the Capitol limited to Washington DC then any corridor train to Trenton.

    Longest (but prettiest) would be the Cardinal, direct from Chicago to Trenton but would take the "southern route" through Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia.  Runs about 24 hours.
