I suspect that you won't get a direct flight (assuming you're heading to Denver.)  So on average, I would plan for a minimum of 12 hours for travel (this would include lay-overs).

all depends?i assume your going from shannon?with aer lingus?then its the time distance between shannon+limerick plus about 7hrs,r are u flying direct from limerick?is that possible? to answer your question about 7hrs

From Washinton DC to Denver it's 4 hours.

So from Denver to Shannon it will be about 11 hours (flight time - not including layover time).

Chances are you will fly from Shannon to Chicago and Chicago to Denver.  This will give you 1 lay over in Chicago which can be around 4 hours.
