The best route is Poona-Satara-Kolhapur-Belgaum from there to Hubli-Chitradurga-Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty.

Pune - belgaum - Bangalore -Mysore- gundalpet-Gudalore stay at this place oneday visit Mudumalalai wildlife  then via Kallatty Falls -ooty  stay at ooty for 3 or 4 days visit following  Tourist placess 1. Pune to BLR take NH4

BLR to Ooty via Mysore then along Mysore Gudalur Rd but at Theppekadu / Gundlupet, take the left turn via Masinagudi, its an uphill ghat rd shortcut with great views.  Try ezeego1.com for hotels.  tamilnadutourism.org will give you online booking for TTDC hotel at Ooty.
