I don't have much money. I don't know where to get started. I got my passport about 3 months ago so that is a start but I am not sure if its better to study aboard or just go by myself. Either way I am not sure where to get started if any one can give me advice that would be great... thanks!!!!

  1. Why don't you start where you can get the cheapest flight?  Usually the cheapest flights from USA are to London, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Madrid, Brussels, or Dublin.  Go to a website that sells tix for different airlines like travelocity.com  or expedia.com  or  kayak.com.  It's also good to compare prices for flying into one city and returning from another.  Sometimes it's even cheaper than r.t. to one place and you don't have to backtrack.

You really should get the book "Let's Go Europe" and read a little about their suggested itineraries and tips for budget travel.  It will save you much more than its price because they tell you the cheap places to stay and eat.

A train pass can be a good idea, especially if you're under 26.  Otherwise train travel can be expensive (except for savings fares like on German rail  http://www.bahn.de ) and there are cheap airlines in Europe like ryanair.com
