I want to travel to the US in March '08, but my passport expires in Aug '08. Will that be a problem?

I have a valid US Visa and have already applied for a new South African passport, but I fear that I may not receive it on time. Please advise

Should really have at least 6 months left on passport to get into USA...You appear to be just under...so potentialy "could" be a problem

Your passport only needs to be valid through the end of your visit.  You can use the the site below to verify this.   Just enter your nationality and destination and click for the info. You will see that it says you need a passpoert and a visa and that the passport only needs to be valid through the end of your visit.

No!  If your passporrt is not expired then you are good.

wait for your passport, never takre any risk with US, they r very violent. for your own sake put all the travel doc in good order.
