I want to try and become an actress. i'm almost 14 w/very lil experiance. how do i get my start?!?!?!?!?

You dont need money really. If you are just starting out then find an acting group outside or inside of school, there you will be provided an acting coach. I started acting when i was your age, and it was rather simple to find a free acting coach, you just have to know where to look. Opportunities are everywhere.

the best place to start is in your school.  you must be able to get good roles in your school plays if you hope to become an actress.  Don't get in a rush, acting is a lifetime pursuit.

Okay: first of all your school may offer free drama elective classes. If so, your schedule may benefit from it and you will enjoy it too. School's also do plays often, if not demand an explanation from your principal or head of the drama department as to why you are not getting this opprotunity to shine. After this, start looking at your local theatre for acting classes, camps, seminars and workshops all of which will make you a better actress and improve your acting skills. Also, while you're at it, invest in an acting coach who will reach you on a more personal level so you can hone in on what really is holding you back and what you can just skip. Then, there's the voice area of acting. Voice coach, and choir are a very good idea. After that comes dance: tap, ballet, hip-hop, jazz and a combination musical theatre dance class will be offered at community centers, local theatres and dance studios in your area. After you have a lot of experience in these "training starters" you can start auditioning for plays at your church, school and local community theatre. The more of these plays you sucessfully audition for the better it will look on your resume` thus, the better the roles you will get and the easier it will be for you to eventually get an acting agent who will help you to find acting jobs such as plays, casting calls for shows, commercials etc.

well your gonna have to squeeze out some cash for acting class, hon. find a local theatre. i go to scr.com because its the best theatre in so. cal. but just google your area and "theatre" and you can find one
