I want to turn my 25 gallon fish tank into my 1 year old corn snakes habitat!?

at the moment he is in a smaller wooden house but its hard to get into and boring, i have a 25 gallon fish tank tho and wish to convert it, is it a safe thing to do with glass and heat and all that? at the moment i am using aspen bedding but i want to change to something more interesting what can i use? thanks

I have 4 snakes and I mostly use fish tanks because of cost... as I found many good deals on craigs list... I got a 40 gal fish tank with stand for free once !!!  I highly recomend you check it out for yourself ...
All I did was go to the pet store and I bought an aftermarket screen top... make sure you cut any excess plastic that your not using off (specififally the crossbeam in the middle if you have one) when I took my snake out once... the lamp slid over to the middle section where the crossbeam was (for support) and melted the platic to the metal screen a bit... so now theres some melted plastic on my cover.
