I am going itno 11th grade and I get good grades (A's and B's) and I want to tutor middle schoolers. The students would have to come to my house but my parents would be home. I was thinking a good price would be around $10 a hour and then if we did like mon, wed, and fri for a hour each night then I would just charge $30 for the whole week. Do you think someone will hire me?? Thanks!!

  1. It's a good and easy way to gain extra money. I'm a teacher and last year I gave tutoring sessions (I have my bachelor's degree, 2 certificates, masters degree on the way and teaching experience) and I only charge 5 dollars each hour. I provided these students 2 hours of tutoring each day, and I try to be as nice as I can, so that's why I had plenty of students in the classroom (average of 12 students), days before a test could appear more students. In order to be successful you need to charge a little bit of money (not as 10 an hour) and bring something new to the table. Never do things for them because then it wouldn't be tutoring but cheating, guide them and provide them feedback. The key is to provide them the tools to find the answers but not giving the answers to them directly, it could cause you future problems. Go for it and good luck! By the way, congratulations on your good grades.
