  1. What kind of games are you trying to play?  Upgrade your Ram from 1GB to at least 2GB, especially since it appears your running Vista.

But the other thing you might want to upgrade is your video card, which is probably the main reason your games are lagging.

  2. You most likely want to purchase a video card for gaming. What you can use depends on the empty slots in your computer. If it has a PCI x16 slot, you can run newer cards. For top performance, I suggest the Nvidia 8800gt. Which can be found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

You should probably upgrade the RAM to 2gb as well.

  3. purchase 1 more gb of ram. one stick cost next to nothing now days. just make sure it is the same speed and type as the one in your pc.

your processor is a little slow at 2.00 ghz but it's ok you can still do some gaming.

get yourself a decent video card.

there are some geforce 8600 gt cards that after mail-in rebate end up at 40 dollars or so and i think free shipping.

and unless you want to do extreme high graphics like crysis gaming then i would suggest a whole new pc....... but thats just for true hardcore gamers. i wouldnt' waste the money unless you care that much.

over all i think for like 70 dollars you could get a superb upgrade.

    ----

i looked it up for you because i'm so bored..

    type: DDR2 SDRAM

    speed:    533mhz

thats the exact kind of ram you can buy. don't get anything else. if you can get a pack of 2x 1gb sticks then just do that, they may run a lot better then mix and matching.

    ALSO

i found where it says your cpu (the amd) is upgradable.

so on http://www.newegg.com/ you can get a faster cpu if you feel like spending the cash.

    your cpu type is

    socket AM2

    your video card slot accepts

    pci express x16

    (the best kind)

    best of luck!~

  4. In HP products (laptop), the thing you can only upgrade is hard disk and RAM. The other parts are all integrated (video/audio card, processor, LAN card, etc.). Buy a new RAM module, better if 1 gb more. Contact HP for more information and assistance about your upgrade.

If it is a desktop, you can upgrade to 4 gb ram, intel core 2 duo, any nvidia geforce video card, more hard disk memory and audio card. you cant spend more than 1000 bucks for it...

    thank you!!! ^_^
