Which is better At&t yahoo DSL internet or the U-verse's?

my upload speed doubled w/ u-verse my download went from a 2.5 to a 2.9. i had 3meg dsl and have 3meg u-verse. My tv works great too.

For the vast majority of users, a selected speed on AT&T DSL will work exactly the same as that speed on UVerse.  (that is 6.0Mbps on UVerse is the same at 6.0Mbps on DSL)

However there are 2 things to note…

UVerse offers a 10Mbps “Max” speed, which is higher than you can get with AT&T DSL.  So if you are willing to pay for the extra speed you can get faster service with UVerse.

Because of the way UVerse uses interleaving to correct dropped packets and insure smooth video, the ping times are slightly longer (like 0.020 seconds) on UVerse than on DSL.   If you are a gamer with very fast reflexes who plays competitive first person shooter games you may notice the difference.  But I have trouble imaging 2 hundredths of a second, much less noticing it.

Unless you are a first person shooter gamer, I would decide on UVerse vs DSL based on the “do I want the TV service” question.  (And, in my opinion, the TV service is rather nice and worth considering).
