  1. What kind of PC you have? Know what connectors have available inside, AGP or PCI? Then you must select a graphic card and see if it complies the requirements. It's no so difficult.!

  2. Download BelarcAdvisor. It will tell you everything about your pc. What mobo slots you have and how many are available. You need to know if you have AGP, PCI, orPCI express. Your new video card has to fit in one of these slots. Whatever slot is available is the kind of video card you will need. Go to Pricewatch.com and Newegg.com for best prices and selection.

  3. Start>Run>DXDIAG

On the system tab it should tell you your motherboard maker and model.  Look up that board and see what the video slot is (PCI-E or AGP) and get a new card based on that.

  4. it just needs to mach the type of slot you have and fit in the case. the new cards are pretty big, if your not sure what type of slot you have you can either google the different slots AGP and PCI-E for pictures or look for your motherboard model number and look up the specs.
