Well, many digital camcorders take tapes... MiniDV and Digital 8 spring to mind.....

I assume though you mean it's an old analogue format such as VHS, VHS-C, Sony 8mm or Hi8 (or even I suppose Betamax!)

You need a device to convert your analogue video to digital then stream it to your PC. Though the 'cables' page of PC world isn't really much help.

Try doing a search for "dazzle video creator". this connects to the output of your camera, converts the video and sends it to the computer via USB....
