  1. To little information to answer. You can use a pond to generate electric power only as long as water comes back into the pond as fast as you are letting it out across your water wheel. With a shaft between the wheel and your generator, you will be able to make power from the power of the flow. You may have to use an old manual transmission in your drive line. Lots of engineering problems to solve. Years ago there were plans published in THE MOTHER EARTH NEWS (1983-84)   Good luck with the project!!


  2. Is it fed by a stream? How much is the flow? How much head do you have? These types of questions need to be addressed.
