  1. We have a folding wooden rack up on a second floor enclosed porch. We'll be able to use it through part of the winter. Also, sometimes in the winter, we set it up in the bathtub.

  2. My family and I are living in Seoul, S. Korea right now (I'm in the US Army).  In Korea they don't have dryers due to low energy concerns.  Electricity here is 4X that in the states and gas right now is $9.78 a gallon.  The washing machine just spins it down more to get more water out of the clothes.  We use the wooden folding racks that you can get at Wal-Mart and put them on the patio in the winter time or if it's to cold we put them in the bathroom in the tub.  As long as it's above freezing your clothes will dry in the daytime.  It sounds wierd, but you get used to it.  Good luck on the saving energy thing:)

  3. I have a nice rolling rack with laundry sorters that I hang dry my clothing on... It's stainless steel and has 3 canvas sorting bins for dirty laundry... It's on wheels so it's easily rolled around the laundry room.. .It has an overhead rack for shoes and a hanging bar for hanging clothes... It's very, very handy and i use it year round.. If I need something the next day.. . I wash it and hang it to dry overnight.. If I need something in acouple hours I will use a small fan to dry it quicker.... I only use my dryer for towels, bed linens, and large loads of clothing... Maybe 1-2 times a week!   The rack was less than $50 at BED BATH and BEYOND.. I've also used it to hold coats for when we had a party....

There's also a nice drying rack that folds up like an umbrella and can be used indoors or outdoors... I've seen it on QVC or HSN... It holds A LOT and can be used as a clothing valet...

*In a pinch you can also hang a seperate tension rod in the shower and hang clothing above your tub to drip dry... Just open a window or run a fan.. To circulate air in the room....

    Good luck

    good luck
