I want to visit Melbourne..what are the people like?? What is the culture like?

melbourne is one of the most multri cultured places.

the best comedians come from melbourne :)

and yeah like what that person said above me.

people would give their seat up on a train for an elderly person or pregnant lady.

there was a few people who described Melbourne the most multicultural city so i hope this would help. People are very friendly and polite. If a melburnian sees a person dropping big file of papers from the opposite of road, then a melburnian will help you out straight away.

On transports, the people are very kind to give them a seat if they have disability, childrens, elderly or whatever.

And i'm 100% Melburnian. ;)

Beautiful Places, heaps of art, many many many different places to eat and visit, very cosmopolitan, very cultured, very great shopping BRING LOTS OF MONEY! great cakes, coffee shops to die for, bohemian paradise, oldy worldy, and you can catch trams! and Melb has a huge Greek and Italian Community and restaurant scene, as well as others,  bring an apatite and a good camera!  You will love it! and you can go on driving day trips just outside of melb and visit beautiful country towns and wine country!  Try not to come in peak summer, it is sometimes very very hot.

I was born and grew-up  in New South Wales...( where the capital city is Sydney) ... I have chosen to live my adult life in the outer Suburbs of Melbourne.

Melbourne is a wonderful city... ( not perfect .. no place is ) ... but I really love it.
