okay i know some french because im taking it in school , but im learning italian now through this FREE program . in yahoo type in before you know it. and it takes you to a wesite to download it for free and there is a voice saying the words. you review it, and learn alot of useful words!!

immerse yourself in french, french movies, radio and if possible only communicate in french - thats how i learned english

That aside, find some French speaking people and do some on-line learning. Just google French lessons. I did it with Italian and it was great! And rent some French movies. Just surround yourself with, and in the language, as much as possible!

The best way will be your stay there :D

French cannot speak foreign languages or mixe their knowledge in english with french : Frenglish !

i am just jocking, but as a French guy learning foreign languages i could obviously notice that..!

Well obviously you are not going to be able to learn more than a few polite phrases and some simple practical  sentances in a few months nor need you really bother to.
