I want to volunteer! But where???!?

Ok, I'm 17 and really want to volunteer regularly this summer (once or twice a week, as I will also be working). I have called a bunch of places but none get back to me or can work with my schedule or I need to be older. I am most interested in working with kids. Does anyone know any place in the north jersey/nyc area that need help? Or a good site that can hook me up with one? I have already tried every site I found, but any help is welcome. Thanks!

  1. Try candystriping at a local hostpital.

    they have very flexible schedule...and if there is a Childerens hospital, then you can help out there.
