I want to volunteer at PAWS the humane society for cats how old do you have to be?

If you are 12 and live in Odessa Texas,if i can't volunteer were else can I, that has to do with animals...anny kind?

Contact your local shelter. Since you are 12, I don't know if you will be able to volunteer your time but you can donate your services. Call your shelter to find out what kind of items they need (most, if not all, shelters have a list of items they need on a regular basis) and use this list to gather up any and/or all of those items. Some of the most common needs of a shelter are food, litter, soap, cleaning supplies, etc. You can then go to a dollar store and ask the manager what they do with damaged bags of animal food, litter, etc. If they just send them back to the manufacturer, ask the manager if they would be willing to donate those items to your shelter. My husband and I have done this in the past and have been very successful with our requests. You sound very mature for a 12 year old but, if you are like most kids your age, you may feel shy about talking to 'grown ups' but by doing this, you will improve speaking skills needed by time you are old enough to actually work in an animal shelter since you will have to communicate with other shelter workers, people looking to adopt, etc. GREAT JOB ON WANTING TO HELP HELPLESS ANIMALS!!!   :)
