Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain definitely made probably the biggest signing of the French Ligue 1 of the recent seasons when the Parisian club signed the highly-rated Argentine international Javier Pastore from Italian Serie A side Palermo.
This Monday, the young midfielder was presented to the press as the newest member of the cash-laden side.
The young playmaker was awash with demands and in the end it was PSG who paid Palermo 42 million Euros to sign the player. For PSG, it was a mark of intent by the club that they mean business. Since his transfer, Pastore has been criticised for his ‘apparent’
lack of ambition by joining a league that is not believed to be as strong as the English, Spanish, German or Italian leagues.

“I am pleased to be in Paris, the city is beautiful and the club is going to become very important to football. This is a competitive team that is bursting with talent,” said the 22-year-old.

“I came in search of titles. I’ve never won a major title. I’m here (at PSG) for winning titles and playing football,” said the talented midfielder.
As expected, media was quick to ask Pastore about his opinion on the fees PSG paid to acquire him. Nonetheless, the youngster said that the transfer price was not important to him and he is not under any pressure.
The youngster is still a few weeks away from making his debut and has said that he will get his fitness levels back at 100% before making his debut for the club.
