  1. First off, what type of work are you looking for? Do you have a degree? Are you experienced in your field? H1B worker visas have caps and whether or not the cap has been reached is another consideration. F1 visas are for students. Answer these questions and then be more specific as to what you want.

  2. The F1 visa is a student visa which strictly prohibits employment.  Also, a condition of granting the visa is that you must return to your own country immediately upon completing or terminating your studies (or violating other terms of the visa).  You must be accepted at a US university and prove you have sufficient funds for all school expenses, plus all of your living expenses, plus transportation back to your country.

H1b is a temporary employment visa.  To qualify, you must have a university degree and a minimum of 2 yrs of experience in your field.  Your employer must prove there are no Americans qualified for the job for which you have been hired.

You neglected to mention your education and experience, but generally there are work visas for fruit & vegetable pickers on farms for the unskilled/uneducated.  Maximum 6 months.  And there are work visas for highly skilled and educated people.  You cannot apply!  Only employers may apply for visas for foreign workers.

Since the job market in the US is so bad right now, employers are having an increasingly difficult time proving that there are no Americans qualified for the job.  Employers are laying off over 380,000 people per week, and unemployment is rising at the fastest level in at least 30 yrs (some economists calculate 60 yrs).  This is not a good time for job-hunting in the US.

  3. Find a Company who sponsor you, (job offer) and then you can apply for a H1B visa

    Good Luck.

  4. r u the one from chennai?

  5. H1B will work if you can obtain one.

F visas are for students, you can't really work with one of those (you can do internships but hardly any real jobs).
